the north face jackets for men Indiana Hangs Out Welcome Sign for Veterans
(INDIANAPOLIS) Indiana thinks veterans are part of the answer to its workforce problems:
The military gives transition assistance to troops nearing their discharge date. Indiana will be the first state to join private businesses at that program’s job fairs at military bases across the country, signing up veterans for a database to match their skills with open jobs. The goal is to register at least a thousand of them, and work with companies to persuade them to relocate to Indiana.
The business nonprofit Conexus Indiana will lead the effort. Program director Wes Wood says there are already several groups working with companies to break down misconceptions about hiring veterans. And he says the program will let worksrs explain to veterans just what civilian jobs their skills qualify them for.
