the north face beanie Hancock steps down as North Forsyth baseball coach High School Athletic Association rules by holding unsanctioned practices. Sean Vestal, North’s director of athletics, said that a mid week phone call tipped off North’s administration of the possibility that rules were violated, and Vestal said that Hancock admitted to the infractions after a two day investigation. Vestal said that North self reported the violations to the NCHSAA and the school will face a fine but likely no other punishment. The NCHSAA handbook lists the fine for unsanctioned practices as $400, but fines are often reduced by 50 percent when violations are self reported. “We started to investigate whether it was true,” Vestal said. “So Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday we looked into it and once we got it done we got the coach’s side of the story and then we talked to the county AD and the superintendent.” Taylor Rutledge, an assistant under Hancock, will take over as interim head coach for the rest of the season. Asked about the implications of yesterday’s UKOG announcement Stewart Dunn, chief executive of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “This will be good news for the county, bringing new jobs and benefitting the local supply chain.” Businesses likely to benefit include Fawley refinery, which already processes 270,000 barrels of oil a day.
