the north face glacier fleece Bill would create new board for Florida state college system The bill, in part, would create a 13 member State Board of Community Colleges to oversee the 28 schools in the state college system. The colleges are now under the State Board of Education, which also oversees the kindergarten through high school system. Hukill said creating a separate board for the colleges would heighten the profile of the system, which was previously under its own statewide board until it was moved to the State Board of Education in 2003. The legislation would also cap the number of baccalaureate degrees awarded by the colleges. Each school would limit its enrollment of four year degree students to no more than 20 percent of the school entire enrollment, while the statewide system would have a 10 percent enrollment cap. Hukill said only three schools now have a baccalaureate enrollment of more than 10 percent, while the system overall four year enrollment is around 5 percent. is a tremendous amount of room for growth, she said. the north face nuptse 2 jacket Bill would change the dropout age A bill proposed Wednesday would raise the age at which students could legally drop out of school in North Carolina without permission from their parents from 16 to 18. Sponsored by State Reps. Donny Lambeth, R Forsyth; Chris Whitmire, R Transylvania; Marcus Brandon, D Guilford; and Nathan Ramsey, R Buncombe, House Bill 235 would require a parent’s signature before students under the age of 18 could drop out of school. The bill would also require parents and students to receive dropout counseling from their school that would include information about the effects of leaving school early. “It’s a tough situation for kids who drop out in the kind of world we live in now, in the kind of economy we live in,” Lambeth said. “They’re fighting a losing battle. They won’t have much of a future if they can’t get a good education.” Current North Carolina law does not allow students to drop out before the age of 16, which would not change. Right now, though, students 16 …read more

the north face hedgehog gtx Bill Cosby returns to the stage in Philadelphia for first show since 2015 Bill Cosby performed in public for the first time since a sex abuse scandal embroiled him in 2015, joking that he “used to be a comedian” and playing with a jazz band in his hometown as a retrial looms in his criminal sexual assault case. The 80 year old entertainer took the stage for about an hour Monday night at a Philadelphia jazz club for his first show since May 2015. the north face womens jackets Bill Clinton may be subpoenaed in Epstein ‘sex slave’ case Flight logs attached as exhibits to court records show that Clinton flew frequently with Epstein, now a convicted sex felon, at the time the latter is alleged to have been running a “sex slave” ring involving girls as young as 12. The plaintiff, Virginia Roberts, told the Mail that in response to her question to Epstein, why were he and Clinton such good friends, that Epstein laughed and replied “He owes me some favors.” At the end of a criminal prosecution of Epstein in 2008, two law enforcement officials, in highly unusual dissent, went on record protesting that the federal prosecution of Jeffrey Epstein was far too lenient. The officials were a Florida prosecutor and the Palm Beach police chief who held jurisdiction for the crime. Epstein wound up serving 13 months of an 18 month sentence, for a single relatively minor charge of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. According to the New York Post, court documents hint at a subpoena of Clinton as …read more

the north face vest Bill aims to crack down on human trafficking in Montana HELENA, Mont. Human trafficking laws in Montana would be revised under proposed legislation to crack down on a problem lawmakers say is not only common in the Bakken oil boom area but all over the state. Rep. Kim Dudik (D Missoula) introduced House Bill 89 in the Judiciary Committee Monday at the request of state Attorney General Tim Fox. Dudik says the comprehensive measure aims to stop human trafficking, which she called modern day slavery. The bill would allow the state to prosecute traffickers as well as those who participate in sex crimes against victims. The new legislation would also view victims of sex trafficking as just that victims not suspects of crimes like prostitution. Missoula Detective Guy Baker says human trafficking is a problem in Montana and not just in the Bakken oil fields in eastern Montana and western North Dakota. He said a recent case involved a teen who was picked up by a trafficker at Southgate Mall in Missoula. “Every one of our …read more
